Finland is highly committed to global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has continuously been ranked number one in an international comparison of sustainable development.

The comparison assesses countries’ progress in implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Finland’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, responsible for the country’s tourism policy, has identified four priorities to facilitate the sustainable growth and renewal of the tourism sector in Finland, with the priority being supporting sustainable development.
